Canine distemper virus diagnostic test
The rapid immunochromatographic test is used to detect canine distemper virus antigens in the canine secretion or serum. Distemper is one of the most dangerous viruses a dog can get. When the virus enters the body, it attacks the lymphatic organs and therefore causes immunosuppression. Distemper is a highly contagious viral disease in dogs, most commonly affecting puppies between 2-5 months of age. We distinguish the following forms: catarrhal, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, nervous, eye and cutaneous, therefore the symptoms and course of the disease are very diverse. Quick detection of the cause of the disease will enable a vet to treat it effectively.
