Katkor is suitable for collecting urine samples to differentiate the types of bladder stones as well as for testing levels of protein, glucose, ketone, blood and measuring specific gravity. It can also be used to collect stools to check for the presence of parasite eggs and digestive markers. The bag contains a substrate in the form of special granules, a pipette for suctioning urine from the substrate and a urine test tube.

This non-absorbing substrate for cats, due to its characteristics, is ideal for collecting urine samples. The advantage of this litter is that every cat owner can use it at home. There is a leaflet attached to each bag. This will allow owners to properly collect their pets' urine at home. Research by AZU (University Medical Center, Utrecht, The Netherlands) has shown that KatKor has no effect on pH, protein, and red and white blood cell counts in human urine (December 1996, FL project).
