Immersion oil
Immersion oil is used to increase the resolution under an optical microscope. The oil has a refractive index similar to glass. This substance fills the space between the specimen and the lens. The oil prevents the refraction of light when the glass moves into the air and the field of vision becomes darker. The advantage of the oil is that you can easily remove it with alcohol.
The product is sold in bottles of 100 ml.
